I started working on this book in 2010, after going to Africa for the first time. I knew that I would be back many times, and I wanted to learn more about Ghana, especially. But I thought that a necessary part of understanding Africa and Africans would be to start to identify and unpack all the stereotypes that that I had about Africa and Africans. This book appeared in July, 2017.
